We live in Holderness, NH, a small town that lies halfway in the Pemigewasset River basin and halfway in the watershed for Squam Lake (otherwise known as Golden Pond after the movie of the same name). We arrived here in August of 1967 and except for sabbatical leaves or leaves of absence have lived on the western slopes of Mt. Prospect the whole time.

I am a retired college teacher and ecologist. I taught full-time from 1967to 2003 and part-time from 2003 to 2013. I still have an office in Boyd (the campus science building) and in the spring mentor some students in the BioSeminar course.  Eleanor has had many careers, starting out as an home economics teacher, then a 3rd grade teacher. For a while she was the Christian Education Coordinator at the Plymouth Congregational Church, UCC. After going back to get her MTESOL at Saint MIchael's in Winooski, VT, became a teacher of English as a Second Language. She has also retired and is developing her inner artist.
